Guest guest
In the past I got mouth ulcers ALL the time. Gosh, it seemed like one would heal and two more would pop up. I consulted the dentist. He was stumped. He said " See your doctor. " I consulted the doctor. He was stumped and said " See your dentist. " And so I was often swishing with nasty stuff to keep the pain down, swabbing with nasty stuff to coat and protect, avoiding all acidic foods, and just wishing they'd hurry up and go away already. Oh, and no kissing. In the recent past, I've learned that this is one non-intestinal manifestation of celiac. Since going gluten-free, I hadn't had a mouth ulcer. Hooray! But this weekend I got glutened. (Gosh darn restaurant dining. Going GF has taken almost ALL the joy out of restaurant dining for me. I can still enjoy that my family enjoys restaurant dining. But *I* no longer enjoy restaurant dining. I digress.) Anyway... this past weekend I got glutened. And last night I got a really nasty mouth ulcer. Man, it hurts! I'd almost forgotten how badly those things hurt. Coincidence? Or cause?
