Guest guest
Hey Shell, First of all, sorry to hear you aren't well. Get better soon. The bronchitis sounds pretty nasty, so take care of yourself. And as to the financial situation being prohibitive to spending on WW, you are right: "Plus, I have you guys." You've definitely got friends here. Get well, and good job on the weight loss, even if it was from the throat problems. You are such an asset to this group! I tried to battle my sickness on my own thinking it was allergies and sinuses, and some over-the-counter meds would clear it up. While I do have insurance, my co-pays (as small as they are) can be difficult to pay given my current financial situation. Thursday, I had to give up and go to the doctor after being sick since Sunday and for the second time in two weeks. I apparently didn't go to the doctor any too soon. He said I had a severe sinus infection. He said my nasal passages were bleeding. I have a have a very bad case of bronchitis. Both ear drums were bulged, and my right ear is bleeding. He loaded me up with Levaquin and gave me a new med I hadn't taking before to clear me up. It is called Mucinex. And, he gave me a nasal spray. I feel better, but I am still pretty congested, and my voice is not 100 percent yet. We also had a little talk about me going to the doctor more regularly and taking better care of my diabetes.Weight Update:While I love WW, my current financial situation is taking a pretty big hit from it. I have decided to use the WW program, as I have learned it to date, and continue to weigh in with my support group at our local nutrition center (which only costs me $5 a month if I want in on the contest and is free otherwise). I am going to pass on WW weigh ins until my financial situation gets better. I will still have a weigh in outside of home, and I think I have learned enough from WW that I can wing it for the time being. Plus, I have you guys.Weight Loss Update:I lost 5 pounds from my 07/13/04-07/20/04 weigh in at the nutrition center, taking me to 256.5. Most of that was my throat hurt so bad I could not eat. I haven't really followed a plan because I have been eating whenever I felt like it, and I have been eating whatever would go down with the least amount of pain.Getting Back OP:I plan to get back OP tomorrow since I am mostly better. I will have to ease in to the exercise because I still feel pretty physically weak, but I am on the mend, and I hope to keep it going in the right direction. That's it for now.Hope you all are doing well!Shell265.5/256.5/135>^..^<
Guest guest
Shell: I'm so sorry to hear about everything you've been going through. I'm so glad you are on the mend, though. I think doing WW on your own will work fine, along with the outside weigh ins and this group. Good for you getting back on program. Take is easy and take good care of yourself. > Health Update: > I meant to get right back to regular posting after my " Been > lurking... Guest guest
Shell, *hugs* I am sorry to hear how sick you have been. I am glad you went in to see the doctor and are feeling better now. That Levaquin is good, but I am allergic to it! Great job on losing weight thorugh all this. As for following WW at home...Go for it! You have the info and a scale to weigh in on, plus we are always here for you too. I hope that we see you in the posts more. You have been missed! ~Coco~ 294.6/292.6/1??
