Guest guest
Sherry, We did a lot of stretching with the band on. As far as teething goes, we have had more luck with ibuprofen than anything. My kids are terrible teethers. They start fussing a month before cutting! We also like to use Baby Safe Feeders. You can put an ice cube or a frozen piece of fruit in there for Chase to suck on and soothe his gums. 6yo DD is cutting her 6 yo molars. I keep asking her if it hurts. She says no. It certainly did when she was an infant!

Guest guest
Sherry, With the teething the tort can be drastically worse, but get better when the teething is done. This can happen at any stressful times, like fevers, and normal stress. Don't worry about him not eating and drinking so much he will come through it and be fine. Dom is my fourth so I have been down this road alot, lol. When his mouth feels better he will eat and drink again. Good Luck. Guest guest
Carol thanks he ate much better today! He seems to like sucking on a cold cloth. I experimented with everything and that's what he likes best. I did notice the tort is very bad now and read about this happening so I knew to expect it. With the band on though it's good. His band seems a bit tight on the right sideburn area but the pink/red goes away quickly so I guess it's ok? I mentioned it when we got our first fitting but they said that's one of his correction areas that we should leave it and call if there's a problem. Guest guest
Sherry, Glad to hear he is feeling better. Mine all loved the washcloth too, lol. I also used frozen bagels and waffles sometimes. You just watch for when the start to thaw a bit too much and take it away so no pieces come off. Just keep an eye on the sideburn and if it does become a problem they can shave off just a tiny bit to help without messing up the correction. Guest guest
Yes I'm watching it closely - is it a problem that it's getting pink? I believe CT said pink is ok as long as it fades. Also I wanted to say I looked at your webpage how did you find time to do all that wow! I barely have time to eat usually - even though I have not lost my pregnancy weight actually gained weight - not the baby's fault - 10 lbs since my 8 week checkup stress I guess. And I'm breastfeeding. Anyway I feel bad sometimes thinking I'm overwhelmed when I read what you've been through. Mothers are amazing! Guest guest
Sherry, Don't worry about the weight it took a long time to put it on and it will take time to take it off. Also yes breastfeeding will add weight, milk is heavy,LOL. Pink is ok, but worth mentioning at next appt. When did I find time, lol. Late at night when me and Dom were the only ones awake. Sometimes I say ok the house will be a mess because I have to update the website, or my 15 year old will help out with Dom, he just loves him.
