Guest guest
Hellow, between december-2004 and may-2005 my five amalgams were removed. During this time I was feeling very bad. Very tired, brain fog, very poor concentration, and my psoriasis was a lot worse. I was taking chlorella and vitamin C during the week before and the two weeks after each extraction, my dentist told me that this was for minimize the mercury reactions. At that time I didn't know that chlorella was so bad. In summer 2005 I ordered a hair test, and mercury levels were very high: 4.35 mcg/g, and also some mineral levels were low. I was looking for information until I found the Cutler protocol, I was reading a lot of posts and finally I decided to order the book and try it. During october-2005 I did two rounds of ALA. The first one 12.5 mg, but I had a lot of headache. The second one 6 mg and I get also headache, it was a bit more supportable but i didn't feel very comfortable. At that moment I suspected that it was to early to start whit ALA and I decided to start with DMSA, and I've been doing with DMSA since november until now. I'm doing 12.5 mg DMSA and I can tolerate it quite well. Since I suspect I'm very poisoned, I'm doing low doses and my rounds are longer in order to minimize redistribution. In the last rounds I've increased the dose at 18.75 mg and I can tolerate well althought the headache is a bit worse. I'm also taking vitamins, minerals, Q10, borage oil, flax seed oil, acetil-l-carnitine, and milk thistle. In the lasts months I've supressed also sulphur food of my diet and I think it has helped me. My improvements during this period are: my digestion is better, and my psoriasis is better too. But I still have a lot of & #8220;mental & #8221; simptoms and I still feel very fatigued. I know that the mental simptoms can not go away with DMSA alone and ALA is necessary, so my question is: it would be a good idea to add ALA now? would be better to continue several rounds with DMSA alone before adding ALA? I'm planing to try 12.5 mg of DMSA and 6.25 of ALA in the nex round. Thanks

Reducing body levels can help with mental symptoms also. would be better to continue several rounds with DMSA > alone before adding ALA? TK--- yes, do enough rounds with the 18mg until you do not have significant side effects, then maybe add the ALA or increase the dmsa. Guest guest
I've not checked my thyroid and adrenals yet, but I think I can have a adrenal problem, because I'm very thin and can not gain weight, and I don't sweat a lot. Should I try to resolve it with hydrocortisone and DHEA? Thank you > . Guest guest
You may be having detoxification problems that are causing your headaches. Supplementing with the right amino acids can help with this. Doing the Detoxification Profile from Great Smokies Lab as mentioned in Andy's book can provide alot of insight. I learned through that test that I have both slow Phases 1 & 2 liver detoxification. I supplement with NAC, glycine, taurine, milk thistle, magnesium sulfate, and calcium d'glucarate to help. I also take lots of vitamin C and many other things Andy mentions in his book. Coffee enemas have also helped me tremendously to prevent and " kick out " toxic headaches.
