Hi Keisha, and welcome. :) The best way to search google is to put what you

are looking for in quotes. That filters out the garbage and unrelated hits.

However, please bear in mind that a google search is no substitute for medical

references. Anyone can put anything on the web.. that doesn't mean it's spelled

correctly. An exception to that would be rxlist.com when searching for

medications. I love using that site to type in a phonetically spelled drug to

get suggestions of what the actual drug might be.

Other members on the list may have other suggestions about fuzzy searches, etc.,

on Google. :)

Question about Google

Hello, I am new here. I am a second semester Medical Transcription student. I

am taking this course as part of the Medical Secretary program at the college I

attend. I have heard you guys mention Google as a source of finding information.

How exactly do you use it? I would like to know for example if I do not

understand what the doctor is saying if I can type in what I think it sounds

like and get responses. I am new. I have not purchased any books for my home

yet. But i do have access to word books in class; yet I am not allowed to check

them out. Thanks for any help.
