I'm so glad to see that ya'll are still here. Even though I don't

make it here too often, I think of everyone quite often.

Cheryl: My ortho gave me 1 retainer & a spare & a cast of my top

teeth so that if ever I lose the 2 others I can get another made

anywhere. (Being clear & small, I can see how they could be lost

easily.) But that makes me think that a mold of your teeth is all

you would need for another retainer. Maybe in the future, if you

ever lose yours or damage them, you can check out an ortho who does

the invisaline retainers & have him make a mold on you & make you new

retainers. :)

Marsha: I have hope for your lip. I had always heard a year was

usually the limit for the nerves to regenerate. But the surgeon says

that's just an average that many people don't get it back until 18

months or so. He said if you get tinglies or if you can touch your

chin in one spot & feel a nerve jump somewhere close by that's a good

sign. He said if you have a spot like that (I have one on my chin

that shoots to my lip), he said stimulating it helps. I'll keep my

fingers crossed for you.

I'm also trying something different to help my jaw open better. It's

stuck at 35. He said usually it's scar tissue that obstructs it but

he checked mine & it wasn't it. So we're gonna try flexeril to relax

the muscle while I do my exercises to get more stretch & less pain

out of each session. Hopefully it will improve. I'd love to be my

pre-op 45mm's again.

Nice to hear from ya'll,

Georgia
