I think the answer to this would be because the endometrium has tiny blood vessels which form during the menstrual cycle and because in our cases the endometrium is damaged, these blood vessels are either absent in areas or damaged. Hope this helps.

Thanks for this info. It's interesting that the 'blood flow' seems to be effected even after 'successful' surgery. It makes me question just how 'successful' my surgery was. I wonder how easy it is to conceive given the endometrium could still be damaged. I have been told to ttc as my cavity is now open but I can't see how this will happen with such light periods. I don't want my hopes to be raised if the chances of pregnancy are still small. I would prefer to know the truth about my situation. This is why I have sent my operation video to Dr.Gallinat and am now awaiting a reply.

Remember that there are two parts to an Ashermans surgery. One is to get rid of the scars and the other is to heal any damaged endometrium. Most of us have had a big chunk of endometrium either scrapped away or thinned down and this will have damaged the vessels which carry the blood to the uterus. So what I am trying to say is that even though your surgery to remove your scarring may have been successful, now the problem is to see if your lining can build up and heal.
