Hi Jeannette,

Thank you for jumping in here on this! I love your remission success

story...I was very curious

Sometime, when/if you have time, could you share witht he new people about

the other changes you made in your life and continue to do so they can have

a clearer idea about how we have to change things around in our lives, as

well as take our atd's or TRH's. I know it is in the archives somewhere,

but I couldn't find it when I looked. Maybe looking under your old ID but I

can never remember how to spell that one ;-)

Thanks again!

Jody

Thank you Jeanette for this wonderful explanation. Yes Remission is a

wonderful subject. However from reading all the posts, not a lot stay that

way.

I am now beginning to understand that my reduced reading on my FT4 last

Friday was only drug induced. My TSH hadn't changed. So that means if I

was to stop taking the Carbimazole, my FT4 would just sky rocket?

Gee and the 18 months bit.........I was so hoping.

Oh well, at least I have you all to share with.

Thank you for your continued support.

Hi Sue,

>>>My TSH hadn't changed. So that means if I was to stop taking the

>>>Carbimazole, my FT4 would just sky rocket?<<<

If you stopped taking the Carbim. your FT4 would probably go higher as you

have not reached remission yet. But please don't dwell on your TSH not

moving. Especially when we are on atd's the TSH is useless, and in my

opinion, should not even be taken, accept occasionally.

The first Pam to this group never saw a rise in her TSH but she had gone

hypO and was kept there for a long long time because her doctor *was*

relying on her TSH which wasn't budging, he kept her atd's higher than they

should have been and she was so very miserable. Maybe if you do a search on

pam and tsh just like that in the archives it will bring up her story on

this, and what *she* had to do to make things better for herself...or maybe

she will take pity and jump in and either explain it again or let you know

about where it is in the archives.

Talk to you later,

Jody

Hi Jody

He actually said to me it takes time for the TSH reading to come up and

that he wasn't concerned. He did reduce my ATD's so I'm happy. I will

just go and have my blood tests in a months time, not 3 months time!

Sue,

I see you have the TSH thing figured out now.

I have a Top Doc, and he never worried about my TSH never starting to move for

the

infamous three years that it stayed at.002.

The problem I had was he kept upping my dose of PTU because my blood pressure

was high.

WRONG !!!!

Being hypo causes BP to be high !!! So much for the idea that what makes a doc

great, is

his ability to treat on symptoms not just labs ! If he ever learns his 'symptoms

list' he

will be a top doc.

-Pam- who also spent way too much time in hypo hell

Hey Pam, if I end up Hypo, I will blame myself. With all this information

I'm sure I must reconise the symptoms. I will stay focused.

Love
