Guest guest
Hello all! Alright! That part's done! On to better things - correction! Casting only took 5 minutes... screaming was much than a PT session! So, all in all things went well. This ortho has only done 15-20 Starband helmets. We are in Minneapolis... so no DocBand providers close. He said that most peds in the area just say it will correct itself. He had his kid's helmet there so we could see what it looked like! He did the casting and once the plaster was set had a hard time getting it off of our kid's head! Not enough Vaseline on the top part. There was a few minutes of tugging and pulling before he got the top half off! UGH! He said that his asymetrical ears would never " fix " .. I thought that they would adjust a bit? Anyone have any thoughts on that one? We looked at patterns but decided to go with the smugmug.com (search on baby helmet) person in CA so we can personalize it. We are thinking Babar the Elephant, Curious and his name... G from Minnepolis Mommy to - StarBand soon! 5 months old (34 week preemie)

Guest guest
Hi . My daughter was casted yesterday, so it looks like we'll be getting our STARbands about the same time! I, too, was glad to have that over with. Look foward to hearing about your son's progress! > > Hello all! > > Alright! That part's done! Guest guest
, Glad to hear that you have the casting done with. I think that was the worst part for my daughter. She has been in her STARband for 3 weeks now and has adjusted very well. It doesn't even seem to phase her. I hope all goes well for you and . I also live in Minnesota I live in St.Cloud. If you have any pictures of you should post them. Isabelle 6 mos STARband 1/31/06 > > Hello all! > > Alright! That part's done! Guest guest
, Well the worst is over. Glad to hear things went well, even with a bit of tugging needed, lol. Dominicks ears had 11mm of asymmetry, but he gradusted with 5mm. Most babies will have some correction to the ears, even if it does not correct completely. CAROLG > > Hello all! > > Alright!
