China Bowl Hoisin Sauce GF?

Found a recipe I'd like to make that calls for hoisin sauce. Out of

all the ones that I found at the store, only one didn't blatently have

gluten in it, but I'm still not 100% sure of it.

China Bowl Select Hoisin Sauce, GF or no?

The only ingredient that worries me is the fermented soybeans.

The entire ingredient list: sugar, fermented soybeans, rice vinegar,

water, salt, chili, garlic, caramel, sesame oil, spice, modified corn

starch.

Hey, lucky you. I still have not found a hoisin sauce that is gluten free. Sometimes I make my own when I get desperate for a specific recipe. But that is really a pain and I do it very seldom. Alissa --- Awesome! I am so glad that you sent this. I don't think

it's possible to know it's GF unless you know about the source of the

caramel color, but I would eat it, and will now look for it in my

local Asian food store.

it's possible to know it's GF unless you know about the source of the

caramel color, but I would eat it, and will now look for it in my

local Asian food store.
