Guest guest
Hi, I'm looking forward to your appt. update! Let us know if you proceed with the RHS helmet. I didn't even know about the RHS helmet back in 2002 when my daughter had plagio/brachy (we are in Kentucky.) All we knew about then were two local helmets, neither of which were FDA approved. It's so true that not everyone's situation will lend itself to being able to repo aggressively. Not being able to repo successfully at night has potential to undermine all the hard work done during the daytime. The AAP no longer endorses side sleeping at all in their latest update regarding SIDS prevention, which leaves repo'ers little flexability with nighttime repo unfortunately. I do know of a few moms who tried sewing a bag of rice, rolled up tiny cloth, wedge, etc. to the back of one side of the pjs to help tip the baby up a bit on one side to encourage turning their head off of the flat area. A grandma came up with a good looking repo set comprised of a vest/velcro/pillow combo, too. There are pictures of these homemade repo tools in the Files/Repo Headquarters/Repo Photos/Nighttime repo folder. Sydney sounds super comfy when you describe her sleeping position, though. You might mention your inability to get her to turn her head at night to the neuro to illustrate that repo results might be difficult to yield, and a band option holds more opportunity in her case. Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > > > > Hello everyone, > > > > I am wondering if 5-6 months is too old to do any good with > repositioning?
