Guest guest
Dear all, I just wanted to tell you what happened with my hysteroscopy last Thursday. The OB/Gyn who performed the hyst didn't realize that I had a retoverted uterus so he tried to get inside the cavity as it was anteverted, you can't believe how much pain I felt... then he discovered that my uterus was retoverted and tried again but he could not get inside the cavity (without GA) because he said it was " too " (?) retroverted . What is unbelievable is what happened after. The doc proposed to do an operative lap/hyst under GA. When I said that I just wanted a diagnostic one, and in case the Asherman's was confirmed, I would prefer to refer to a specialist in that syndrome he replied: " there are no specialist in that: Asherman's is not a problem at all since is the most simple of all the intrauterine surgeries, I perform around 300 hyst per year and I don't understand why you want a diagnostic hyst when is much easier to " cut " than to " see " " ………….. When I called my OB/GYN he said he was sorry about what happened in his hospital and that I could have a diagnostic hyst if I wanted. But, I don't trust that hysteroscopist anymore and I think I'll follow Corinna's suggestion and try to book an appointment with dr. Gallinat as soon as possible. Do you think is the right thing to do? Francesca
