Guest guest
I think sometimes the lighting in some of the stores can have an odd affect on us, or it could even be the smells that some of them blow out in the air conditioning (especially supermarkets). Chris You are right, I think that it could be the chemicals and / or the lighting.. it never failed for me all the time I lived in Shrewsbury.. Boots.. dizzy.. L I know I am hypersensitive to perfumes in anything, and chemicals in garden centres, so I try to avoid all those things..I do so love perfumes too.. but even if I put them on my clothing rather than my skin, I can taste them.. ( I know I am odd… !)
Guest guest
You taste stuff that you have smelled too? Same here, doesn't matter what it is either. Chemical smells like bleach and the like, those are the ones that are the worst, even diluted bleach. I can taste it for a full 24 hrs or more, once I've even caught a whiff of it. As a matter of fact, it always still feels or smells like I'm still breathing it. Guest guest
You mean it's NOT just me??? wow... I'm sensitive to stuff now that never bothered me before... and lately, I RARELY use perfume.... it's been bothering me... same bottle I've used for years... not the same brand.. the same bottle... and I don't think it goes bad..... but now just a light spritz in the air that I let fall on me seems too much to me.... I inhale just a bit of it and I feel over loaded with it..... perfume, bleach, gasoline, natural gas.... unflushed toilet..... That is NOT a nice thing to get the feeling that you are soaked in it...... Hmmmmmmmm interesting.... Guest guest
wanted to say thanx for the tips on the mini meal portions. funny,it sounds like my normal daily portions, just more often! lol. also wanted to tell you that most perfumes and colognes will go bad with time. i want to say usually 3 or 4 years, depending on the brand. some brands will only weaken in their scent over time, so it may not be so noticable, while others totally change, almost turn rancid. my fiance had a bottle of polo from about 7 years ago- my god, was it gross. think alot has to do with the base of the fragrance- i do alot of spice type, (think cinnamon undertones) and i find that mine only weaken... but some are just downright nasty. once that bottle is opened and/or sprayed it changes. > thanx again peachy (angie) > > > I RARELY use perfume.... it's been > > bothering me... same bottle I've used for years... not the same brand.. > > the same bottle... and I don't think it goes bad..... but now just a > > light spritz in the air that I let fall on me seems too much to me.... >

Guest guest
it is as if we now live in a chemical cocktail.. even our perfumes probably are not the same recipe.. smell the same but not the same.. probably have enhancers. I don’t like the musk based ones either, as I think we need to attract humans, not Elks ! ( Quite a joke as I have recently discovered my great grandmother was one Elks !) Guest guest
Let's see...breakfast is hard for me because I'm not crazy about breakfast food sometimes I like a half bagel with strawberry cream cheese, usually everyone else is eating a bowl of cereal or oatmeal, or bacon and eggs (ick), or biscuits and gravy (double ick). I'll eat a couple of biscuits with a dab of jelly or honey on those days. for lunch we usually have leftovers from dinner the night before, or a sandwich made with 2 thin slices of lunchmeat (ham or turkey) on regular grocery store wheat bread. I don't like mayo so mine is usually dry. I also like hot pockets, so sometimes I'll eat one of those instead. I'm not big on chips, but once in a while I eat the baked lays chips. I haven't had those in weeks because nothing sounds good. Sometimes we grill out preformed hamburgers and have those for lunch, but unfortunately we will eat frozen french fries with those. If nobody else is home I often forget to eat lunch because I just don't feel like eating and again, nothing sounds good. In the afternoon I will eat one of those plastic fruit cups that come in a 4 pack, or package yogurt cup, usually not because I feel like eating, but because my stomach feels icky from being empty. For dinner, which seems to be the only meal I'm hungry for, we usually have a small green salad, muffin or bread, and something like a frozen lasagna or grilled chicken breasts, or if I have any energy I make black beans and rice with onions, tomatoes and peppers. Occasionally we make spaghetti, which I could eat every day, but the kids get sick of it. Sometimes we make tacos and have beans and cheese on the side. Lately we've made the beer-can roasted chicken a lot. I'm bored silly with the menu and don't know what to fix. I am not a picky eater other than breakfast foods, but 1 kid is picky and my guy is a diabetic who thinks carbs are the anti-christ. I like a meat, potatoes or rice, bread and veggie meal at night, but due to his preferences we usually have meat, salad, bread. About twice a week I get horrible sweet cravings and we will make a cake or buy a dessert, but everyone eats it so it isn't like I'm eating a whole cake by myself. Sweets and bread are my downfall, but even so, I'm not eating much other than dinnertime. The rest of the time I just feel icky and can't understand why everyone else is hungry. I love pasta dishes, chicken, steak, rice, spicy stuff... meat loaf is ok, but again, the kids won't eat it as often as I will. I'm thinking maybe I need to make a bunch of little veggie cups to nuke when I can't think of anything else to eat, and some mini meat loaves, then I can continue to fix the family meals they like and just do my little snacks all day. It's lunchtime right now and I don't want food at all, yet I can 'feel' that I need to eat. 8( > > Give me a list of things that you like to eat.. lets see if we can come > up with make ahead recipes that will let you cook stuff in batches... and > then you don't have to cook ALL the time but will still get regular > meals.... > > Worth a shot to figure out, right? > > Topper () > > On Sat, 29 Oct 2005 16:44:01 -0000 " patty blake " <big_8_eyes@y...> > writes: > I'm resonably sure I'm not eating enough, but nothing sounds good and > I'm too tired to fix anything harder than toast! > > 8( >
