Guest guest
Fawn, I must have missed the announcement while I was out of town! CONGRATULATIONS! That is so great. I will keep you in my thoughts as this pregnancy progresses. So glad to hear that everything is going so well. Wendi http://www.lactivist.com breastfeeding resources and info hcg/progesterone levels Hey girls. Wanted to give you an update on how things with this pregnancy are going. I've definitely been feeling some symptoms of this one way more than I did with Drake or the 2 mcs. I feel tired, not sleepy tired so much, just body tired, hungry but unable to eat, nothing is appealing but stangely feel lots better after eating something sweet. My nipples are very sensitive when Drake first latches on but is a sweetie when I say, " ouch, sweetie, be gentle " , I can tell he lightens up his suck. Here's the good news--I had a blood preg test on Wednesday. The dr wanted to check my hcg levels and progesterone level since I've had troubles with the last 2 pregnancies. The nurse called to say that everything looked fine. In fact, she wanted to schedule an ultrasound because the dr thought my levels were so high that I could be farther along than we think. Well, we don't/won't do any ultrasound (what difference does it make if we are off on the date) but mostly because I had the D & C in March, had a very normal period in April and May and then got pregnant on cue in June. It took quite a long time for me to get the positive result on the preg test this time, not till the day my period should've arrived, when the others were positive like 8-10 days after conception. Anyway, I guess the high hormone level would explain why I'm feeling something with this pregnancy (hooray, I'm glad for it after all we've been through) and absolutely nothing with the other 3. So, here's my little mind going into overtime.........I'd seen a show last week about a couple who'd had trouble conceiving and did the drug treatments and ended up preg. The lady was telling about how her dr did a blood test to check the hormone levels and said they were high, very high, high enough that she could be carrying twins and sure enough she was. Now, I don't know exactly what my level was, didn't ask but does anyone have any thoughts on this? I know one of you girls here is a mommy to twins, did anything like this happen to you? I'm really not freaking out about it, I'm anxious for my dr appt on the 7th to see if we hear a good heartbeat or beats..... Thanks for your feedback and sorry I got windy here, just lots on my mind!!
