Many OB/GYNs think that AS is treated by a regular hyst, but it is NOT AT ALL THE SAME. I talked to two different OBs who said they would treat me because my case was simple. I knew it wasn't and after finding DR Palter and having him tell me that my uterus was one of the worst scarring cases he has seen, I am so glad I went to a specialist. I think you will feel much better about going to someone who knows the difference between a retroverted uterus and an anteverted one as well as a person who is very experienced with AS surgery.
