Guest guest
Well i kinda like peanut butter and L do like oatmeal and BUT I don't think i could mix the two. I am diabetic and when I take the bus to Missouri I take a long some those peanut butter and crackers with me. The stops are few and long between and I take along water and those for the "just in case" I get the shakes. I did not know that peanut butter was good for diabetics. Love PepperVernie Nordstrom wrote: Now , I don;t put my peanut butter on toast....I put it in my Oatmeal........NO don't even let me know what you think of that.............hahaah. but a dietitian told our group (one lady) that was diebetic and she was having trouble after water exercise with nearly passing out, she told her she needed protein and on the days she had oatmeal to put 1 TBS. peanut butter in it and she would not have that feeling...HEY I am not diabetic....BUT...I decided if it was good enough for her...should be good enough for me. But you know it doesn't bother me what others say about what I eat....cause I'm not gonna force them to eat it and you know what.....Gives me more peanut butter and oatmeal.....just for me. So feel free to post your meals and as Imogene used to say at retreats....get over it....if someone doesn't like what you are doing.....OR ..her other famous....ewell I guess that is your problem!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day everyone...gotta go pull weeds. Sorry - That's why I don't send my food chart either. I eat things I like and it may not be the best choice but it is what I eat. Some of the things y'all eat for breakfast, I would never eat. Peanut butter on toast for one!!! YUCK .... BUT we all have different likes and dislikes. I can accept that. I just don't need someone telling me I should be eating this or that instead of what I eat. Geogre....you go right ahead and eat those breakfast bars if that's what you want. They are handy to grab on the go. I do buy them but use them as a snack, almost like eating a candy bar. I prefer a bigger breakfast but maybe that's why your a KOPS and I'm not. Love Pepper I would suppose that peanut butter is like any thing else we diabetics eat, each person is different and each food doesn't work the same for everyone. I use food to raise my blood sugar quickly if I get the shakes. Think it has something to do with the protein and sugar combination.
