Alan,

Thanks for the EMSEAT update. I had hoped that there could be a meeting of

" players " at the conference reference the EMStock Education Summit, but there

was just no available time.

EMSEAT's involvement will be a sine qua non for this effort. I hope this

will serve for a launching pad of the " second stage rocket " of EMSEAT.

Dr. Bledsoe is on board with this for EMStock, as well as a number of

interested educators.

I'm going to send up a trial balloon soon with some proposals for content

soon, and we'll begin developing a format from there.

Stay tuned!!!

EMS Educators Association of Texas

Happy Holidays to all. I hope everyone enjoyed the Texas EMS Conference as

much as I did. I just wish we could get away from that common Monday night

at 6:00 pm meeting time for so many groups. I hope to hear more about what

happened at the GETAC and the BTLS meetings.

The EMSEAT group hopes to be very active in 2005. I will be working on

501©(3) recognition for EMSEAT as well as putting together a survey about

the current state of EMS education.

Lee Gillum is working on the EMSEAT website and hope to have that up and

working soon.

EMSEAT will be using yahoogroups as our listserver. The merginet and aol

groups previously used will be eliminated soon.

is putting together a Scope of Practice document that we hope

to use as a position paper.

EMSEAT hopes to be involved with Gene Gandy's Education forum.

EMSEAT elected 2 new officers and I am hoping that Steve or could post

those positions on the listserver soon.

Anyway, if you were previously involved in EMSEAT and have lost touch, I ask

that you consider joining us again. If you are interested in Texas EMS

Education please join and become an active member of our group.

Thanks again.

The formal process is being updated and should be distributed shortly.

Until then, the old application form looks like and should suffice for

now. We changed the dues at the meeting but I cannot remember if they

were $20 or $25. Steve, Ernie, or ?? Help!!
