I find you irrelevant because you presume to tell me what I am based on your highly biased interpretation of my words. I make no apologies for creative use of words. I'll not be enslaved by " mind-forged manacles. " If you find that makes it hard to take me seriously, your attitude makes it hard for me to care how you take me. Had you been more civil, I might have even given you the name and number of the atheist who taught me the phrase " Blessed Be " back in 1980, when I was 18 years old and had drunk a grand total of maybe two gallons of beer in my life. But he might talk too much sense into you. You don't deserve that. I'm not even sure you could handle it. " It " including the fact that, again, he specifically used the expression, " Blessed Be, " to mean, " Don't call on some nebulous 'God' to bless you! Choose to bless yourself! " Sorry if you just can't (or won't) wrap your brain around that. He would also strongly beg to differ with being labelled any kind of agnostic, " We " or otherwise, for he was forthrightly convinced of the absolute nonexistence of God, and was, again, one of the most spiritual people I've ever known, in ways you would probably deliberately choose to misunderstand. But your mind is already tightly closed and made up about someone you've never even met who is a friend of someone you know only through printed words on a screen! Damn! And I thought *I* was presumptuous! The only people you've seen say, " Blessed Be, " are AAs? You need to get out more. The only people I've seen say " Blessed Be " are atheists and Neo-Pagans, and I know at least a hundred of each. I only know of four Neo-Pagans and two atheists in AA. I've heard absolutely no one within AA other than those six people use the phrase " Blessed Be " at all and find it difficult to believe you have. ( " I'm not saying you're lying; I just find it difficult to believe. " ) Given those demographics, though, you can relax. I doubt we'll be hearing the Pope deliberately copying heathens and heretics by offering anything other than " GOD bless you, " anytime soon. A recovering Catholic? What a surprise. I'll bet just seeing the word " spiritual " on this screen makes your eyes burn, doesn't it?
