Guest guest
Help me out here guys. Currently we are paid every other thursday. This amounts to 26 pay periods, 2 weeks in a pay period. We pay overtime for any hours worked over 40 in each week. Here is my question! 1. I understand that this coming year we will have 25 pay periods. How does that occur? Please give me a example. 2. The rest of the county employees are on a 1st and 15th pay schedule. If they were converted to the 26 pay period schedule every other Thursday. What impact would that have? 3. The rest of the county employees work a 5 day work week. Essentially they are or could be exempt employees. Their hourly rate is only considered if someone does not work the complete week and has no vacation, holiday or sick time for it. Can they be considerd as yearly salary employees without being exempt? 4. Any of you that are presently on a 26 pay period schedule, how do you plan to handle 2005 having 27 pay periods? If you don't mind please keep your answer to the questions asked. Thank You Henry
