Waydon's Update/CT OakBrook Terrace,IL

Hey everyone. I just wanted to post and let you all know what's been

going on. I did totally cancel with Hanger, I'm still waiting to hear

if/how I'll get the money we've paid on it back. I'll probably have

to call them tomorrow AGAIN!

Anyways Waydon has an appt consult/casting at the CT in Oakbrook

Terrace (Chicago). It's Monday morning. My husband and I are leaving

Sunday and heading up there then staying overnight. I am hoping to

hear from some other mommies who use this same clinic. Are all CT's

pretty much as good as the other? All their clinicians have the same

type/amount of training right? I'm just nervous about it since I've

been burned once (with Hanger). I would like to hear any positive and

negative feedback anyone can give about this CT.

I'm not looking forward to the traveling, but I don't guess I have any

other option. Well I will look more into the Angel Flights, but the

little planes scare the daylights out of me!!!

Good for you for cancelling with Hanger!! I know this has been a horrible time for you. That is great that you are going to IL CT. I have a friend who is going there right now. She drives 4 hours one way every two weeks from our area. This will be so worth it for Waydon!!! You are getting the best care and CT has such a great reputation! I hope your travelling goes well. You are great mom for doing this and good for you for being so strong!!! Hang in there! I can't wait to see Waydon's new band!!!

We started at Oakbrook with Ginny. Everything was great with them...we did

end up moving to the Glenview office because Palwaukee airport is a 10

minute ride. The closet airport to Oakbrook is DuPage and it is about a 35

minture ride.

We used Lifeline Pilots. Most of their pilots are Illnois based and we

NEVER had a problem getting a flight. Small planes scared me too, but after

your first flight you will be flying like a champ. I always asked the pilot

how long they had been flying. All of the pilots we had were over 15 years

of flying. Also they were Air Force Vets, UPS pilots or commercial airline

pilots. So it isn't Joe Smoe off of the street, these guys are for real.

Also they have a 0% incident rate.
