Thanks for the congrats Pierre. I am really waiting for you to tell us

that you had your transplant. BTW, what is your blood type? I am so

glad that you have been able to keep your wonderful positive attitude.

You have been the backbone of this group.

I don't know what I would have done had I not had this group when it was

looking like I would not get a kidney. Though I have a fairly large

supportive family, I was hungry people who know the things that I was

going through. Additionally, the write ups that you and did on

your dialysis experience was very helpful to me when I thought that I

was going to do dialysis and then 's journal of his transplant was

great for me too.

If I haven't thanked you before, please know that your have a special

place in my heart. Thank you. Also, I thank all of this email family.

You are a special group of folks. This group is a gift to each one of

us.

Hi ,

I'm a blood type A. According to my transplant coordinator, the last time I

talked to her back last September, I could be called anytime. I'm already

close to the average waiting time here for my blood type, and I have no

unusual antibody issues to deal with. As you may recall, I was already

called in as a backup recipient this past October, just a month after she

had told me that. Not a peep since though. The only contact I have with the

whole transplant thing is the monthly blood work requisition that is sent

down to dialysis, where they actually draw the blood. This is to keep tabs

on my antigens, as I understand it. There have been a number of transplants

done lately, but I guess the kidneys must not have been a match for me.

I appreciate your message. Thanks.

Hey ,

I am so glad you are feeling up to travel and doing so well :-)

I have noticed that my travel is taking more and more of a toll on me

unfortunately, and this time of the year I average two to three trips a month.

It is

a bit overwhelming and I am anxious for things to slow down.

You give me hope for my future!

Hi ,

To be honest with you, it concerns me too that I have been more tired. I am

hoping that perhaps it is just my Procrit needs adjusting. I will get my labs

done next week and if it is just my hematocrit has dropped again, at least it

will be an easy fix! In the meantime I have been struggling to work full

time.

The tuition for USC is paid every August and Jan, so after Jan, I will be

down to having just my daughter's senior year to take care of. Really that

means

I have to make it another year and a half and I am sure I can do that. Here

is where my stubbornness and determination come into play. Occasionally,

they are an asset :-)
