I need some help to find what type refrigerator works the best out there.

We have tried several types and sizes. The most reliable has been the

Koolatron. It too did fail within a year. We only carry Ativan so the fridge

does

not need to be large. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Most can be wired for a cigarette lighter adapter and the smaller units plug

into it. They are relatively inexpensive, around 80 dollars, so they are easy to

replace.

When we began carrying Zemuron and Succs, we initially used a small

aftermarket (too small for a one litre beverage) fridge from Frazierbilt,

but found that it frequently made its way out of the drug's recommended

temperature storage range (on the high side). This in spite of cabin

thermostat setting, and placing temperature buffer bags (expired 500 saline

to help stabilize the fridge temperature) in the fridge. If you keep track

of the price of Rocuronium, you'll know that this can be a headache in more

ways than one. We also found that the plastic handle latches were prone to

breaking.

We are currently using a Haier 1.8 cu ft. (model HSP02WNBWW) which retails

for $50-60 http://www.haieramerica.com/products.php?pid=49. This SRP was

considerably lower than that of the smaller fridge we were using. We very

infrequently find that the refrigerator is outside of recommended storage

range. Although we still need to have the fridges further

secured/hard-mounted, we installed the Haiers a little over a year ago with

no major problems or replacements since. It has proven a reliable solution.
