Although i've known this day was coming, i have done no research... now i am scared to death and not sure exactly what type of research to do before surgery.. if anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated.... thanks
Guest guest
Poke around in the archive of posts here, for much info; also, visit this site: http://www.geocities.com/orthognathicinfo/ And OSS2, in the links. This is the biggest site, but the others have good info, too. And ask away whatever questions you may have. What surgery are you to have? Upper? Lower? Both? Genio? Do you know whether your surgeon wires, or bands, or neither. Has you use a splint, and for how long if he does? Those are a few things to ask. There are also lists of supplies you'll be likely to want. You'll probably want a zipnsqueeze jaw wrap, and maybe some bags (especially the bags if you're gonna be wired). Best if you look first, and come back with questions, I think. But there are many folks here ready and willing to help.
