Guest guest
We went back to see the ps on Tuesday. For those that don't remember, Logan is in a Danmar helmet (I asked the dr if it is called a soft shell and she said no, that it is Danmar's version of the band--but it is not an active band.) Anyway, they scanned Logan's head with the 3-D scanner and then we waited for the dr. She brought in the before and after scan pics. He has only grown 1cm in 8 weeks, but we could see the improvement in eye and ear asymmetry. She said that he is to come back in 8 weeks for another check. His helmet did not need to be adjusted, but some of the stick-on foam used to help hold the helmet on needed to be removed. She also said he only has to wear his helmet now when he is sleeping or riding in either his carseat or stroller! It looks like Logan will be out of the helmet soon. Hopefully these will be the last 2 months that he will be in his Danmar! I forgot to check to see if the band will be offered anywhere else anytime soon. However, I need to call them to see if I can get some more of the stick-on foam so I will try to find out then.

Guest guest
Shanna, I am glad you could still see improvement with just a little growth. Maybe he will give you a big growth spurt before the next check. CAROLG --- In Plagiocephaly , " Shanna " <logans_mommy_26@...> wrote: > > We went back to see the ps on Tuesday. Guest guest
That is what we are hoping for. I was talking to and she said that her son had 1/2 cm in 2 weeks. I guess Logan either hit a spurt right before he went in the helmet or just hasn't had one yet. I told my husband Tuesday night that if his asymmetry improved even slightly with only 1 cm of growth, then it would be a tremendous improvement if he would just hit a nice spurt before our next visit. I think a good growth spurt between now and April would probably get him out of his helmet! I posted some more recent pics of Logan in a new folder called Logan J in the pic section. I have asked to move them and delete the old ones. --ShannaMother of Reece, 3 yrs old, and Logan, 9 months, mild plagio and facial asymmetry."Carol G." <GATTVA@...> wrote: Shanna, I am glad you could still see improvement with just a little growth.
