I just took a supplement without thinking of mercury implications. It

is supposed to boost glutathione production in the body.

Ingredients: N-acetyl L-cysteine (NAC) - 257mg

L-glutamic acid - 128mg

L-glycine - 64mg

Anything in there that would cause redist of mercury?

Thanks,

- JB

Thanks, . I am already taking Mg frequently because of the Lyme.

The Glutathione precursors seem to make me feel better, but I will

ask my doc about the cysteine test next time I go, anyway.

just to save some time and confusion.....

a doctor might run a test for cystine - different amino acid, and the

test result doesn't tell you anything.

the only way to test cysteine is with a test from great smokies

diagnostic laboratories. if your doctor wants to do it he has to

phone them to send the test kit. it's a fairly inexpensive test, but

the blood has to be sent by courier to great smokies, which adds to

the cost and hassle.

i was glad to have the test because it simplified diet and supplement

decisions for me. i had the sulfate test at the same time and found

out that i needed to supplement both.
