Guest guest
Hi Beth, congratulations on your one lb lost , one pound dont sound like much but take a pound of butter and its amazing to see how much there is of it, keep on doing what you are doing and little by little it will all get off .. good luck next weigh in im sure you will come back with a loss ,, Hugs Helen Beth wrote: Weighed in this morning - I had a loss of 1 pound this week!! That makes 8 weeks in a row!! I would have been happy with a turtle as I sown a few wild oats (albeit whole wheat ones) along with some extra desserts this week toward the end of the week and had been hoping and praying for a crop failure. Fortunately I had been keeping up with my exercise and water. I will do better this week and stay away from the desserts. Our chapter had a great meeting. 19 members weighed with a loss of 25 pounds and no gains!! (We did have 2 members come in late and weigh in after the meeting, so I don't know how they did.) Our chapter is so special. We laugh so much. It sounds like a simple thing, but I get to move 4 pennies to my loss jar (my visual aid toward my goal). It is such a simple incentive, but it means alot. I am finally losing "good" weight toward my first 10 pound loss and bracelet. I'm not worried about how long it takes, as long as I am consistent and can break the cycle of gaining and losing the same couple of pounds over and over again and can keep exercising on a regular basis. Our chapter has a getting to know you segment and it was my turn this morning to share a little about myself. It was fun and a positive experience. I focused on overcoming emotional eating and the battle I have had with bipolar disorder/emtional illness. It was the first time I had spoken in front of group about having a mental illness such as bipolar (same thing as the old term manic/depressive disorder) disorder and it was well received. The best part was being able to encourage any or anyone with family members who are depressed to seek out appropriate treatment because life is so worthwhile. Several doctors had told me that weight gain was inevitable due to the medication I am on. But I have proved to myself that the weight can come off with lifestyle eating changes and exercise. As far as the emotional eating,.I believe that I am overcoming the triggers that cause me to overeat and to put on over 100 pounds. For those of us who worry about our kids, grandkids and other family members - I too worry. I try to do what I can and then try to trust God to do the rest. It seems that there is always something to be concerned about. At every age, it just that the nature of the worry changes. I hope that everyone has a great weekend and a great weigh in this coming week. TOPS hugs and smiles, Beth Find your next car at Yahoo! A one lb loss is great, and the eight weeks in a row even greater, also the chapter no gainer isn't any thing to be sneezed at!! Guest guest
Those 2 members also lost. So final tally: 21 members with a 28.5 pound loss and NO GAINS. Kathie S., weight recorder * * * * AMAZING!! FANTASTIC!! GREAT!! It is always sooooooo exciting to have a "no-gainer" meeting! Doesnt' happen very often in our chapter; we usually have about 20-22 members, and over the years I can only recall 3 or 4 no-gainers!! Congratulations to your chapter, Kathie!!
