Possibly a really dumb question, but is sucrose just regular sugar? My mom just brought us some Manna Bears (ironic considering the previous post re: Mannatech) and they list sucrose in the ingreds., but I wasn't sure if that was a "sweetener" or sugar - thanks for any input!

My children have been taking Schiff's Childrens Chewables for months, as recommended by their dietitian, as a good gluten free supplement. Our bottle has, in very small print the following statement:

"GUARANTEED: No added sugar (sucrose), salt, yeast, wheat, gluten or milk." and none of the ingredients listed would raise any red flags to me so, yes, they are safe.
