DEAR LISA

I AGREE WITH DAWN COMPLETELY. IF YOU GO BACK TO OLD HABITS OF EATING HE MAY

LOOSE WEIGHT BUT HE CAN ALSO REGAIN WEIGHT ALSO. IT ISN'T GOOD TO FOOL

AROUND. NO MATTER HOW THIN HE GETS REMEMBER WE STILL HAVE FAT MINDS IN THIN

BODIES. I AM VERY CAREFUL WHAT I EAT. I DO NOT WANT TO GET HEAVY AGAIN SO I

AM VERY CAREFUL. DR, RANDALL REALLY STRESSED NOT TO HAVE SODA. IT CAN BREAK

YOUR STAPLES. MY 2 CENTS RAYNA

Hi ! I almost always pack a small cooler with my " food " for the day.

Included are safe snacks like graham crackers, plain popcorn, salad/protein

combo(tofu/chick/fish) sugar free jello. plain yogurt, protein drink,

crystal lite, low sodium v8...that kinda thing. String cheeese, sliced

turkey/alpine swiss roll up So I obcesss and focus getting ready for the

day and the " playmate " travels around with me since I am still on a

" schudule " for liquids, proteins vitamens etc. The first " party " I went to

I almost passed out from the smell of pizza. Its a challenge in the

afterlife to handle smells for me! Priscilla

SICK vs. DUMPING -- How Do You Know??

Well folks I am about 3 weeks away from my surgery, and have really been

thinking about things.

My biggest concern right now is having something seriously wrong

afterwards vs. dumping. Most of you have described dumping as feeling

like you were going to die, literally. I live alone and am concerned

that if I get sick, I'm not going to be able to tell the difference

between a serious complication and a dump. There will be no one there

with me to gage if something is really wrong.

How am I going to tell the difference? I'm not the type to panic -- I'm

rather the type to not want to bother the doctor.

Thanks,

Peg

, I had my surgery 20 months ago and I just ate my first hot dog last

week. It was great... But not a chioce I would make often.. as for chips

there are many alternatives out there that are just as good....

Well, kinda exagerates...I had half a hot dog, a couple sips of diet,

caffeine free soda and about 8 or 10 chips. It was a bbq, they didn't

exactly have a bunch of healthy stuff :P

Hehe...No problem! The funny thing is though is that you need to do some

semi-stupid things like that to learn that next time you better pack

something with you to take just in case you're stuck with only really bad

choices. :)

I'm still working on learning to do that. Today is ok. I woke up and had

some yogurt. I'm gonna jump in the shower and head out the door. I'll be

bringing a liter of water with me that I can refill and a banana. I have

some beef jerky and string cheese that I'll have later and I'll probably

grab some sliced turkey when I'm out...I also have some soy nuts to snack

on. Good protein. The last couple days I've realized that I've been really

slacking on the water so I'm making sure I get 64oz a day in now. I'm

hoping that will help. There were some days I didn't get even 32 in. Doh!

I'm down 93 pounds as of a couple days ago. :) I've been playing hacky

sack with the people at work...but damn, it makes the back of my thighs ache

the next day when I do that. Hehe.
