Guest guest Posted June 23, 2001 Report Share Posted June 23, 2001 ellen......it's good to know we all feel the same....i am in the process of writing letters to my kids....i haven't told them about the surgery and don't plan to. they think i'm having my gallbladder out....my 19 yr old daughter knows, but i don't feel the need to worry the younger ones...they love me the way i am...they were all worried sick when i had knee surgery this past monday....i guess as a mother, no matter what happenes in our lives, we worry about it all..much luck to you... kim fitchburg jeff....when is your surgery??? mj..good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Made 3 trips to the hospital...drove for 2 of them, and was in the back for the other. It's just nice to be back. Tonight, it's " boys night out " , and 2 of my best friends (actually, one is my best man, and the other is in usher in my upcoming wedding), are going out on the beach and going Striped Bass fishing. I can't wait! This is the part of my recovery that I've been craving... the point where I'm well enough to do things and enjoy the summer, but not quite healed enough to go back to working 100 hour weeks. :-) Today is " weigh day " for me...and I'm up to 60 pounds! YAHOO! Maybe that's why I'm in such a good mood today. :-) Have a great weekend everyone. Must be something I ate...NOT! ;-) I can honstly say that I am one of the few people that enjoy getting up and going to work (although, when it's to get up at 3 in the morning in the pouring rain to scrape some drunk up off the road...maybe I question my loyalties then!). I really can't picture myself doing anything other than being a Paramedic...and now that I've had WLS done...I can actually see myself doing it much longer than I ever imagined. :-) And, Dawn...by the way...any time you want to go fishing, you just drag your veterinarial ass down to the Cape, and we'll go fishing! Sorry, if you need to borrow a fishing pole...no HOT PINK here! The only thing that I own that's hot pink is this cute little leather thong and matching leather fishnet vest, complete with studded dog collar and leash...but that's just for the night's that I dress in DRAG in P-Town!
