Abby- My son Braden got his STARband on the 17th of this month. Like you I worried and cried over every issue. But to my surprise, Braden has adjusted wonderfully. His head does sweat a bit and we can kind of smell it but not even that bothers him. He could not be any happier. Like you, I still hate him wearing the helmet but in just 6 days, i can already see a change in the back of his head - that makes it easier for you to make it through. Once n has her helmet, you will find that while you don't like it, you can live with it. The babies are cute either way. I attached a picture of Braden on his 2nd day in the helmet. torticollis at about 4 months. I have a lot of guilt because I noticed it from about 2 weeks and just thought everything was normal. We have had the run-around with several doctors, but were finally casted this Wednesday. n's head is 16mm off. She turned 8 months last week. I'm sure I sound like all mother's that are new at this, but I'm devastated and I'm scared. I'm devastated for all the shallow petty reasons---the helmet just looks SO awful. And I'm scared for all the obvious reasons---will she adjust to it? I'm going to lurk around in hopes that everything here will put me at ease for what I'm about to embark on. I've been fretting over this and have shed many tears and I just HOPE, HOPE, HOPE it's not going to be as bad as I imagine. We were told to expect to wear the helmet for 3-5 months...all I keep thinking is that she is going to melt in the Kansas summer heat! Thanks for
