Perhaps someone can explain this to me:

The acceptable distilled alcohol list on Celiac.com includes Scotch and

Bourbon, but not Irish Whiskey- is this considered included under the

statement that all distilled alchohol is gluten free?

I know that scotch is made from Malt, so why is it considered gluten free?

Is it the same as vodka, where the glutens are still removed, but you can

still be sensitive to the underlying grains?

I don't want to make averybody think I'm such a drinker, but I have had a

bad cough, and I find some scotch or irish whiskey at bedtime works better

than any cough syrup I've tried. I have this cough and cold I can't shake,

and every holistic type thing I try doesn't seem to get absorbed into my

system- I wish I could get an injection of something.
