OT or Not OT? Hormones or Depressed Again?

I am referring to Gail (13yo), the supposedly non spectrum child

unless you consider severe ADHD to be spectrum. Her anxiety has been

worse and getting worse for a while now (weeks). She is not sleeping

very well, but is quite tired. Almost as soon as she comes home she

goes and hides - in the bathroom, on her bed, in a corner with a

book, anywhere but 'here'. She is extremely irritable and her lack

of focus and follow through has become more pronounced again. She

says she hates being treated like a child yet she cannot follow

through with hardly a single thing. She says she just wants everyone

to go away and leave her alone.

Is she depressed again or is this hormones speaking? She is not

PMSing because she just had her cycle. Tomorrow we see the pdoc to

talk about medication adjustments. Today she saw her therapist and

was really really ticked at her for asking Gail too many questions

that Gail didn't want to answer.

If it's hormones this seems to be rather excessive. I think I do not

like adolesence much.

Wouldn't it be nice if our kids could get a break from the normal problems

of growing up, considering they already have enough to deal with?
