Guest guest
in GA:I know exactly how you feel! My family just got back from a vacation with my in-laws in which we all traveled and stayed in a condo together. My mother-in-law thought I was crazy when I told her not to use a butter knife in the butter that had touched her toast. I am the only CD in our family, and it was difficult eating out, etc. I had so little sympathy from them, it was unreal. Normally I get along great with them. She even complained when we were going out to dinner one night, and I told her that there wasn't anything on the restaurant's menu I could have (I had walked to the door first, which they had the menu posted on the outside of the restaurant). Normally if I go somewhere I can't eat, I just get a salad, but this place was Mexican and did not carry plain salads. Anyway, my point is that it is YOUR house, and if your guests don't follow YOUR rules, then they don't have to visit. Especially if they are going to make your kids sick. You wouldn't allow someone with a cold to sneeze in your face. (kind of an extreme example, but you get the point), or allow a smoker to smoke in your house if you are a non-smoking household. If you are providing the food and snacks at your own house, then your guests should abide by the house rules. Next time you have guests, I would let them know that this is not acceptable.
