Guest guest
. Best of luck with everything. I wasn't trying to minimize Celiac. I know it's a huge deal (see my post about Glutenless Pete). I guess I'm just glad it can be contolled with diet. I was on predisone for 5 years when my doctor thought I had Crohns. It has terrible side effects long term, and I was so happy when I found out I could heal myself with just a diet and ZERO medication. > > > > Here's an offbeat take. Guest guest
, Why did your doctor think you had Crohns? Did you have a colonoscopy to confirm or a dx on symptoms? Mine wants to test for Crohns to rule it out. I haven’t done the research yet and don’t know anything about it. Laurie lbilyeu@... I was on predisone for 5 years when my doctor thought I had Crohns. Guest guest
I had a colonoscopy, and a small bowel follow through. The colonoscopy showed signs of damage consistent with Crohns. I could never get any better without having heavy doses of prednisone, though. Finally, at the behest of a nutritionist, I tried the gluten free diet, and bingo! All symptoms gone. I still haven't had a confirmation of Celiac. I had a blood test but it was negative. I only know the diet makes me feel better. > > , > > Why did your doctor think you had Crohns?
