I had another urine test in which I collected my urine over a 24 hour period during my fourth day of chelation with DMSA and ALA. Great Smokies did the post challenge test. I came out showing no measurable mercury excreted. I've been chelating for nine months now and this is the 3rd urine test they've done on me. The first one showed high mercury excretion. The second one showed none and this third one showed none. However, each one of them showed high lead excretion. So l got my results yesterday and my doctor said that they see this over and over again, that DMSA will pull lead first and they've had patients who don't even START to pull mercury for a year or so. Is this true? Could I be chelating for nine months doing Andy's protocol and only be pulling lead and no mercury? I could understand if I were just taking DMSA and it was pulling lead first, but what about the ALA I'm taking? Shouldn't that be pulling some mercury out of my brain? TK: I know that if you see this post, you might be thinking that these urine tests are useless, but even in " Amalgam Illness " Andy says " continue chelation until mercury urine excretion is low " . So they must have some validity if he says that.

Supposedly ALA takes mercury out through the feces, so wouldn't show up much in the urine. Has arsenic been tested on any of these tests? I suppose ALA would take arsenic out with the feces, but not sure. J

Guest guest
This is a dumb question. I apologize if I got off topic earlier with clays. But I thought that mercury was excreted through the feces and not the urine. I must not understand. Guest guest
ALA makes the mercury come out in the feces. Myself, I think it is a good idea to use clay to get it into your intestines and help soak up some that might otherwise get reabsorbed. Coudln't hurt I figure. However,I do take my ALAL sort of sublingually, or at least let it melt in my mouth, so there is no interference with anything going on in my gut. Certainly, if somebody were to swallow an ALA capsule, and then take clay afterwards without waiting a few hours, it might render the ALA in effective to one degree or another. ~Inga > This is a dumb question. Guest guest
I take a very high dose. 200 mg every two hours. I would guess there might be an absorption problem and that may be why I can take so much of it while others can't. I will try sublingual on the next round. I'm laying off the clay internally since I started using the LL clays and they don't go right through me the way other clays do. I still use LL clay because they have only trace aluminum. I'm trying to clear my gut with lots of pysillum husks mixed with black strap molasis. Re: DMSA ALA makes the mercury come out in the feces. Guest guest
I had my mercury amlgams removed awhile ago, and I will start Andly Cutler's chelation protocol this week. I bought DMSA, but the smallest size I was able to find was 25mg. I'm afraid to start with taking 25mg every 4 hours, so I will cut them into quarters. My question is: When I try to cut them, I can't get them into exact quarters. Does it matter that each time I take the DMSA every 4 hours that they won't be the exact exact same dosage? Since I can't cut them exactly equally perhaps one piece will be 6 mg, another 7mg, and another will be 5mg. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. Guest guest
What dose are you using? It is important to start with a very low dose of DMSA such as 12.5 mg or even lower for some people. DMPS is an alternative, but it requires prescription and is harder to get. -- > > Is it possible that a person can react on sulfur in DMSA on not > tolerate the DMSA? > > If I react on the sulfur in DMSA, will I see this at the DDI test? > > Its two week since I took out the last little bit of ammalgam in my > teeth. Guest guest
You will not see a reaction to sulphur indicated on your DDI test. Many mercury people are sensitive to sulphur or to anything really. YOu won't know until you try the dmsa. Use a very low dose and make sure to take all the supplements listed by Andy. This will help ensure a smoother trial of using it. If you can find a doc who will actually beleive you are Hg Toxic, and who would prescribe..you can get dmps. Wait and see how it goes. I thought I would do badly with it, but it has been tremedously helpful. > > Is it possible that a person can react on sulfur in DMSA on not > tolerate the DMSA? > > If I react on the sulfur in DMSA, will I see this at the DDI test? > > Its two week since I took out the last little bit of ammalgam in my > teeth.
