Tales from the Antibiotic Crypt

It's interesting that the potent part of tetrcyc might have nothing

to do with it's antibiotic nature (which always makes one wonder what

the bacteria is your fighting). Took tetra when I was a kid for

acne, no problems, but when I took it last summer for rosacea for my

eyes it did a real number on my GI, like a knife in the gut, and the

doc & nurses kept saying, " Keep taking it, don't worry " while the

pain and the runs got worse. Always suspected some health practioners

take the Hypocritic oath instead of the Hypocratic one.

Also, they said most people's rosacea clears up for a few years after

3or6 months of antibiotics: It never helped my eyes and my skin

afterwards rebounded much worse.

Good news is the olive oil/fish oil I just started taking is really

helping already! Hope it continues.
