( Hi, ) as I have a problem with takin levothyroxine.. itis a rather wicked drug as far as I am concerned , as I have been taking it for one year of continuous discomfort, aching joints and muscles and backache, together with cold flushes.. like hot flushes , but like being doused with ice. I couldn't sleep properly either. I had not assosiated these symptoms with thyroxine but once I stopped taking it ( went cold turkey and was ill for a couple of days then felt ' normal' )I saw my Dr today and she said it could be because the thyroxine levels produced by my body fluctuate and so I am overdosing when I take the tablets. J Not an actual diagnosis as such, just picked up on a blood test that my thyroid did not seem to be producing enough.
