Legally speaking, you own your medical records (I believe this was a

Supreme Court decision). I would think you could call your doctors

office and if they tell you again that the copier is down, offer to

take the records and copy them yourself. When they tell you that

they can't allow you to take them out of the office, indicate that

you would hate to have to take legal action to get copies of your

medical records ... but, that since it was your health, you would

take whatever measures were needed to ensure your doctors had all of

the information they needed to give you the best medical treatment,

etc.
