Iredale Cosmetics not good for me

Hello Group,

I just ordered and received the purepressed base which is

the same line as the amazing base everyone is talking about but it's the

pressed powder which is supposed to be good for oily skin. Well there is

vitamin E in it which may be good for the skin but my skin is already oily

and this is making it a grease pit. I have tried it for 3 days now and still

very very oily. I spent $74 for the powder and brush that they recommended to

go with it. I feel like I am out that money now. The cheep Neutrogena

foundation I was using worked better for me. I'm sure it's good makeup but

not for oily skin like mine. Maybe it would be good for someone who has more

normal skin because people who have dry skin have mentioned that it dries out

there skin. One thing though I noticed when I looked at the pamphlet that

came with it the Amazing base which is loose powder doesn't have vitamin E in

it or anything that looks oily but the pressed powder that I got does. I

thought the pressed was for oily skin maybe I should have gotten the loose

powder but I'll never know now because i'm not spending another $38 to find

out that doesn't work for me either. Ok just wanted to complain about that I

feel better now

we all feel that way once in a while. My motto is if you have something

that works for you dont change. Even if something works for one of us it

doesnt always work for everyone. I feel (my own opinion) that if you can find

something OTC and available right away go ahead and use it. Just because it

costs more doesnt always mean it works better in some cases.

Check and see if they will give you your money back. A lot of companies or

department stores will. Good luck.

Before I even ordered I read there policy that once something has

been opened there is no return. You have to check over the makeup when you

get it but once you open it and use it there is no return. I'll for sure be

asking them why they recommended something for oily skin that has vitamin E

in it and do some complaining and say i'll never order from them again and

we'll see where that gets me. Maybe I can get them to exchange for some of

the loose powder if I send the other back.

Rite Aid stores will send the un-used product back to the manufacture. Plus

they will refund you money with a receipt. I think when a product costs that

much they should at least have samples available to try first. Even people

who do not have our problem with rosacea have allergy problems etc. I hope

that when you complain to the company they will at least offer you a partial

refund.

I know how you feel though, I think we all have spent money on products that

dont work for us.

Thank you for the info. I do not follow the group as closely as I used to.

The answer to the Jane Iredale Mineral pressed powder is simple. #1 it

does not fix or control oil production. It also does not add to or induce

oiliness or oil production. The vitamin E in the powder is not the wet

form (oil), it could not be a powder if it had oil in it. The pressed

contains the ester of E (the dry formula) as an anti-oxidant. It in no way

contains any oil. The powder covers redness, conceals flaws, contains SPF

17 or 20 for the loose and is non irritating, and actually soothing to

capillaries, irritation, acne etc... due to the high Zinc content. Thank
