Guest guest
Terry, Thank you so much! These questions are for someone else, and problems I have not had, so I figured someone here, might have better insight. I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but since it didn't affect me, I must not have been paying attention. So I now, found myself at a loss for words. LOL Not normal for me :-) I've been doing really well lately...happy dance.....will write later. Thanks again, -Pam-

Guest guest
Pam, I break them so you can too. I currently take (approximately--it gets a bit difficult to get exact at this size) 1/4 of a 5 mg. methimazole pill daily. As for lab copies, I believe you have the law on your side. Others have had more experience dealing with recalcitrant docs--mine copies each lab for me when I'm there--but YOU paid for the lab bill, so have right to copies. If you have a doc that wants to keep you in the dark, get another! You have to be informed to manage your health properly. Guest guest
I don't know anything about tapozole. As for not giving you copies of your medical records, why not ask him/her why you shouldn't have them. Remind the person, that they work for you and you've paid for them. If all else fails, find a lawyer and ask a favor to have legal letterhead stationary sent to them demanding copies of your entire file - not just what " they " think is important. ly, I'd change doctors and did because of not giving me information. I demanded they copy my entire file, in front of me, so that another could continue my care. There is no reason why you can't have that, unless, they are hiding something. Going through the file, that I required copied in front of me, explained why they didn't want me to have it. It was shoddy care. This goes back to my pregnancy. I didn't have the glocose test till the 36th week. It and other routine tests were overlooked. What I said my sound harsh but denying you, your records is out of line and harsh. I wouldn't be worried about their feelings either since they are not being very considerate to you. Maybe others will have better suggestions. I just don't consider doctors, of any stipe, beyond reproach - yet they often do. Guest guest
Hey Pam, I believe you can shave, break, cut the Tap as long as it is tablet and not capsule. As for the blood work, ask him why he doesn't want you to have it, (maybe he hasn't been keeping it all? or wasn't actually running all of the ones you have been paying for?)...and find out if, in your state, you have a law behind you to demand them. Tell him if his staff doesn't have the time to copy them all, you would be more than willing to go through and pull your labs and go make copies and return the originals. Let him know that they are YOUR lab results, and YOU paid for them, and you WANT them and you have a RIGHT to them. Let him know that you want to chart your progress past, present and future. Anyhow, thats my opinion...first by asking why, and talking, then get mad if you have to TTYL Jody _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

Guest guest
About medical records: Is your dr. your endo or primary care physician? My endo sends all results to my PCP so I could always pick up records there would I have a conflict. But yeah, the best plan of action would be to switch. Good luck and take care, Fay ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! Guest guest
Hi Pam- The doctor is legally required to provide you with a copy of your lab results if you ask for them. He/she can charge you for copying them though. Medical records (those are the doctors and nurses written notes) are considered the doctor's property and he/she is not legally required to provide you with copies. Many do though as a courtesy. So make sure you specify " lab results " when you ask for your labs. There may have been a little confusion about what you wanted. Take care, > Hi All, > From the looks of the traffic I just got out of, I bet you are all out Christmas > shopping. But if anyone is here, I have two questions I could use help on. > > 1.
