Guest guest
IHi tildabeth, I had lower advancement at the hands of a very skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Had no trouble at all. That said, at age 56, I would certainly not have been ready to have a trip with four small children at one week post-op. I was weary, weary, weary for about a month post op. I did not have bad swelling, nor bad pain (although I used the morphine for the first 24 hours or so, and the Lortab afterward for about a week. (I don't wanna put up with it if I have an option.) Talking was awkward around the splint, but possible. I was not wired, nor was I tightly banded. Good luck to you!
