Guest guest
Hi, This is my first post, although I've been chelating with 50mg of ALA and 50mg of DMSA every 3 hrs for a couple months 7 days on 7 off. I also have been using a personal far infrared sauna daily for 5 months. I've rid myself of my chemical sensitivity symptoms with the sauna. My recent and only hair test did not meet the counting rules, but there was definitelly deranged mineral transport, mostly low. I had 5 amalgams removed a year ago. I'm doing well, feeling great on round, but I do have the redistribution symptoms at the end of the round--even with an extra day of DMSA only. There are only 2 symptoms: depressed mood and itchy skin. The depressed mood is mild, but the itchy skin is severe. I have had itchy skin already without chelation, mostly just at night, for a couple years. It was greatly exacerbated at month 3 after amalgam removal. I know mercury aggravates yeast, so I'm assuming the redistribution is aggravating the yeast. Or, can mercury directly cause the itching? It's all over my skin, but mostly on my feet and back. I call it an itch, but sometimes it's burning or pins and needles. There's no rash, but sometimes there are very small bumps. Despite an anti Candida diet and meds, the itching never gets better. This is greatly disrupting my sleep. I have had to take Lunesta every night for a year, nothing else gets me to sleep. Does anyone else have this skin problem? Does this sound like Candida? The itching gets worse with Diflucan and Nystatin, so I'm assuming this is due to die off, and thus it is Candida. It never gets better though. My tongue is coated at times. I haven't been chelating long, with time will this itching get better with the chelation or will it only get better with Candida control? My doctor wants to do an NAC IV. I remember reading in Andy's book that a glutathione IV is contraindicated, so would IV NAC be bad too? I have low glutathione, a normal cysteine level, and a very low sulfate level on my liver detox panel. I don't think he knows how to read this test. So any input would be greatly appreciated. My doctor also recommended a gallbladder flush with olive oil and lemon juice. I've read in Andy's book this is not a good idea, but could someone explain why so I can explain it to my doctor? Thanks so much, Tammy
