Guest guest
When hypo, I mostly crave sweets. When hyper, I can eat anything in sight, from sweet to sour. Betty
Guest guest
Methyldopa (Aldomet brand name is one of them) has to do with decreasing the amt of Aldosterone from the other part of the adrenal glands, I believe. Someone correct me, if I'm wrong here. I don't have any concrete go-to evidence, but I'm thinking that, if the adrenal is UNDERproducing aldosterone, this is a big mistake. Why don't these doctors ever test for these things, before getting specific on WHICH blood pressure med they prescribe?! They can't tell ME that I'M wrong for self treating for thyroid, when they are ALWAYS whistling in the dark! It just amazes me. Total guesswork, sheesh! That particular BP med has to do with the renin-aldosterone-angiotensin cycling. It would be great for some such people whose high BP is caused by too much of any of these three substances, but not for someone who is too low in them, holy cow. Re: changes in food cravings Nope! Nothing! I've always been a carb addict I think, but just not a sweet carb addict. I've been struggling with some high blood pressure reading while AT the docs office, so I was put on BP meds BUT since then eveytime I pass a BP machine, I use it and I am absolutely normal if not low...so I think it's just morons who give me high B/P Anyways they gave me something called methyldopo...but I only took it for one day hehe Other than that everything has been business as usul!
