Guest guest
Bobbi, If there is improvement with the helmet then why end it now? As long as ther continues to be improvement I would keep going with the helmet. Some moms here like to use CST(Cranial Sacral Therapy) along with the bands and say it helps the facial asymmetry. You can post about it. CAROLG > > that Kaitlyns face will look more " normal " ? I guess that's the best > way to word it. Guest guest
That's what I wanted to know Carol was if the band was gonna help correct the assymetry or if it will eventually correct itself without the helmet meaning if her head is doing good as far as roundness and such is the band going to help the face? I don't think she'll be in the band much longer but then again I'm no doc so I wanted others opinions as to what they saw when looking at the pics of her with their eyes because I wanna make sure I'm not seeing things cause I think her head looks just fine but I'm NO expert on plag!! I have a friend who has a son and I was 99.9% sure he needed a helmet, his head is so flat in the back but she took him in to see a neuro and he said his head was perfectly fine, I was shocked!! Sorry if I was confusing with my original post, I'm tired LOL!! I'm not sure how much time is left in the band, when I ask her orthotist he just says he can't really tell me it just depends on how fast her head grows and in that scan I showed on here that was ONLY after 1 1/2 months in the band which I thought the correction was pretty gosh darn good for just that little bit of time in it, what do you think? Thank you for the compliment, I think she is beautiful too as well as my oldest daughter!! I have brown eyes and my husband has blue eyes, well brown dominates over blue and Jenna has brown eyes so I was certain Kaitlyn would have brown well we were blessed with a blue eyed girl, makes me so happy LOL LOL!!!!! Her eyes seem like a grayish blue, not bright blue like her dads. I sure hope they stay this color!!"Carol G." <GATTVA@...> wrote: Bobbi,I am sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking. Yes I did look at the pics. Keep in mind when you get replies that you are asking people(plagio parents) who are looking for the asymmetry, not just someone who sees her on occasion. The scan is very cool and shows the progress well. In the pics where you asked for opinions on severity I would have to say low side of moderate. When you compare the pics from Nov. to the ones you took recently you can see alot of improvement. Facial asymmetry can be so slow improving, it's hard to wait. I do think that you will continue to see improvement with the band and that it will be enough to make you happy. Will she ever be completely free of facial asymmetry, maybe not, it is hard to correct 100%, but it will probably be something only you as mom see. How much time is left in the band? Also she is very beautiful, I just love her eyes. CAROLG> >> > that Kaitlyns face will look more "normal"? I guess that's the > best > > way to word it. Guest guest
This kid has me running around like a chicken with it's head cut off LMAO!! My other daughter was so content and laid back, well Kaitlyn that's a whole 'nother story LOL, she is tiring me right out LOL!! That's just it Carol NOBODY and I mean NOBODY notices Kaitlyn head shape or facial assymetry, I got told ALL the time you'd never know there is anything wrong with her, it kinda makes you wonder if it was all worth it and in my heart of hearts I know it's the best for Kaitlyn but you know there's just that little bit that's wondering was it worth going thru all of this, what would have happened if we didn't get the helmet, etc know what I mean? I'm hoping and praying there's no second band involved that soon it will be the end of our journey but that is up to the professionals not me but I KNEW there would be people on here who can see these "problems" with head shapes and assymetries and be able to help me out. Thanks :)"Carol G." <GATTVA@...> wrote: Bobbi,LMAO! I am tired too, that's why I am stupid, but eventually I'll pick it up,LOL. I mean, I think get as much as you can out of the band and then hope for more post band correction is all you can do at this point. As long as the tort is resolved that shouldn't be causing a problem, but you will see it return a bit with illness, stress, teething and such so don't freak if she looks worse now and then during those times. Dominick still has a slight bit of facial asymmetry but only I would know it, but it was the best we could hope for. I'm not sure how much time is left in the band, when I ask her orthotist he just says he can't really tell me it just depends on how fast her head grows and in that scan I showed on here that was ONLY> after 1 1/2 months in the band which I thought the correction was pretty gosh darn good for just that little bit of time in it, what do you think? Thank you for the compliment, I think she is beautiful too as well as my oldest daughter!! I have brown eyes and my husband has blue eyes, well brown dominates over blue and Jenna has brown eyes so I was certain Kaitlyn would have brown well we were blessed with a blue eyed girl, makes me so happy LOL LOL!!!!! Her eyes seem like a grayish blue, not bright blue like her dads. I sure hope they stay this color!!> > "Carol G." <GATTVA@...> wrote: Bobbi,> I am sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking.
