Congratulations on adopting a little cat, Rita. I know it must hav been

irresistable. I'm more of a dog person myself, but I think having a pet is a

wonderful thing in helping to move the focus away from oneself and one's

disease. I don't know about cats, but having a dog forces a person to remain

active, if only because they have to go out and walk. Mine was at the vet's

yesterday for his yearly Spring shots, checkup and Sentinel prescription.

Consequently, my wallet is now $200 thinner (there goes all of my income tax

refund!), but it's worth it.

picked up eggs, bread and a NEW KITTY! There was a litter of 5 in a

shopping cart - wished I could have taken them all! Not sure if it's a girl

or boy - so I named he/she " Madison " - thought that was fairly safe. Having

a new little one just brings such joy to me - I'm in love. Madison has made

itself right at home, happily playing, eating sleeping and purring. He/she

is joined by 2 other kitty's - Zachary and . He/She has her/his

first vet visit a week from this Saturday.
