you know what you can start looking for , Vitimans......B12, ZINC,

DAILY,

I purchased one of those pill boxes from Walgreens and fill it every

Sunday and take it to work with me and take my pills there...Since I

live there..LOL......

I say buy the B12 now because cvs, walgreens, osco drugs always has

the 50% off deal and you can save , they are like 6-7 dollars for the

B12.........That stuff I would get ready so you are allset......

oh ya, VITIMAN E, for the scar.....you can use it later on.

Rose,

Funny (well not really), but funny you mentioned the cereal and oatmeal

thing. I don't have a problem, but a friend who is almost 4 years out still

cannot eat cereal with milk, but dry works fine. She can't have oatmeal

unless it's all soupy and tastes like shit....just sounds weird!

Dawn

PAM

only my 2cents,

I wouldnt buy lots of post op things because your tastes will change,

things that you like now you may not like later. I have not been able

to eat cereal or oatmeal yet and I'm 9months out, my body just doesnt

like it. I want it but it throws it up. After I had my surgery, I had

to learn to eat all over again, I'm just starting to understand my

body on what it needs and what it can tolerate. buy little quanities

of things to try and if they work great, then your all set. You will

be amazed at the amount of foods that I need to throw away.

Rayna,

That actually depends on the doctor. Dr. Mun at Beth Israel Deaconess

has all of his patients take B12 daily as soon as they leave the

hospital.

NWH suggests you take daily b12 sublingual pills or a monthly b12 shot.

A deficiency is much harder to fix once present vs just taking it and

keeping current.

Deficiencies can take a few years to show up and once done they are hard to

correct.
