Concerning foods that count as calcium:

Anything that meets 25% of daily RDA calcium can count! I hope that

this

info helps those that can't drink or don't like milk.

Foods that count as 1 serving of milk:

1 oz. hard cheese

1 glass (8 oz.) milk

1 cup yogurt

1-1/2 cups ice cream

2 cups cottage cheese

16 or 3 oz. small sardines w/bones

4 oz. canned salmon w/bones

2 cups broccoli

5 oz. tofu

1-1/2 cups cooked turnip greens

1-1/2 cups cooked kale

6 eggs (hah!)

some breads that are fortified with calcium (check label)

some cereals that are fortified with calcium (check label)

1 cup some juices that are fortified with calcium (check label)

6 oz. canned shrimp

1 cup collard greens

1 cup bok choy

1/4 of 14 " cheese pizza

1-1/2 cups of cream of mushroom soup (made w/milk)

1 cup mac and cheese

1 cup lima beans

1 cup almonds

1/4 cups soybeans

1-1/4 oz. ricotta cheese

certain cocoa mixes are fortified with calcium

5 cups green beans

WW smoothies (and probably other smoothies too!)

Pria bars

Some other nutritional bars

Nutrition for women Vanilla-Cinnamon instant oatmeal has lots of added

vitamins and supplements for women, including 35% RDA

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I don't get to claim those smoothies for

dairy, but I do get to claim the ones with yogurt, if I drink two of them.

Gosh, think I can handle that?
