Scoopin' poop... shovelin' manure... pickin' up road apples, etc. I don't like 'piles' in the paddocks/pastures. Draws flies and cuts down on the grazing area, so once a day, my daughter or I push a wheelbarrow around and gather the little 'presents' that our four-legged friends leave for us. Summer and Stormy are polite enough to leave theirs all in one area. Willow, on the other hand, goes whenever and wherever she has the urge. Trying to find her's is kinda like a redneck Easter egg hunt. LOL! Fortunately, none of them 'go' in the barn.... guess that means they're housebroke... or maybe 'barnbroke'. Then we push the wheelbarrow up to the compost pit or I spread it in the ruts on the road up to the pit. has been mucking for 14 years, every since she got her first pony, and never once in all those years has she complained. It's just something that we do everyday. I can still remember when she was 3 years old up in Kansas... With temps that drop to 20 degrees (below zero with the wind chill), manure balls freeze. She used to like to pick 'em up with her gloved hands and play wheelbarrow basketball with 'em. They'd make a loud ping when they hit the wheelbarrow. Non-horsey friends never appreciated her barn games. :-) hugs, janet
