Went to the store earlier and everyone was there 'stocking up' for the snow! I just came home, put on a pot of bean soup and it can snow till the cows come home....which they already have!! I hope all get to feeling well so your snow can be enjoyed!! ) OT SNOW!!!! So, who has snow? I am near the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg in TN and I can't see the road.... How exciting!! Can you tell it has been a while since we had a " good " snow? We are supposed to get 4-8 inches. What about everyone else.... My kids are thrilled, wanting to go out and play. Unfortunately, my daughter, Haley, came home today from school not feeling well (she is bummed now) and isn't going to be able to go out. She was fine this morning. She said it came on during recess. I'm in Wisconsin and it has been COLD here for the past several days...I mean single digits at night and early in the morning. We had a little bit of snow, but haven't really had much yet this year. We finally bought a snowblower and haven't even used it yet. I guess I wouldn't mind a little bit of snow..but when you have it a lot, you get tired of the hassles...having to clean the driveway, drive in it, bundle up for it, etc. Now me right now, I would give anything to be where the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and the landscape isn't so brown/grey/drab. This cold snap will continue for another week or so.....brrrrrr.......I love my wood stove! My dogs lay right near it and just pant away like it's in the middle of the summer! Guest guest Posted January 16, 2003 Report Share Posted January 16, 2003 Hi Mona! What city/town in TN are you in? I grew up in the Tri-Cities area! I wish we had the snow here in VA that you have. That's one thing I miss about the mountains. I'm in the Tidewater area of VA and we don't get much real snow because we're so close to the water. And when we DO get snow, it ends up being chaos because nobody knows how to drive in it. We are expecting snow tonight though, and places are already considering closing tomorrow. That's one thing I miss about the mountains. I'm in the Tidewater area of VA and we don't get much real snow because we're so close to the water. And when we DO get snow, it ends up being chaos because nobody knows how to drive in it. We are expecting snow tonight though, and places are already considering closing tomorrow.
