Carol,

Is CT recommending another band? If so, then I think you should do

another band. You've come this far, why stop now? Good luck making

your decision. Let us know what you decide.

I'm not really sure. She said he's made good progress and it's up to

us. There was no guarantee that a second band would make a

difference. I'll ask again on Monday. 's pediatrician said if he

was her son she would go for #2. Now I just have to get my husband on

board. Just curious...will another band be another $3,000???

Thanks

Carol,

CT didn't recommend my dd's last band. I requested it b/c I wanted to

see if we could get a little more correction. She was put into that

band at about 17 months. She did get even more correction from that

band. I say if you can swing it, do it. Your insurance didn't cover

your first band?

That is a really hard decision. We decided on a second band and we

were happy that we did but we were lucky, our insurance paid 90% of

the cost. Keep us posted

My oldest wore 2 bands. We were very happy with our decision. CT

felt she could get more correction and we wanted more correction for

her. I'm an engineer so I obsess over numbers. We decided that if

she measured over 6 mm in any asymmetry we would go for it. Well she

was 7 mm cva and 7 mm ear. She graduated with 3 cva and 4 ear. That

extra little bit made all the difference. She still had a littlef lat

spot in the back above her elft ear at grad. Since graduation she has

gotten a little bit more, now 2 mm cva and 3 mm ear.

is currently 3 mm ear and I'll have to check his measurement for

cva so if he's under 6 in both what do you think??? Of course I can

tell you just by looking at it I'm not completely happy so I'll

probably go based on that. So annoying!

Carol,

Throw the numbers away and go by the look of the head. My thought is

that if CT brought it up, there is a viable reason for a second

band.If you are not happy then go for it and tell hubby too bad, lol.

I made this decision twice and never regretted either one.

If there isn't enough asymmetry then there is nothing for the band

to " hold " so it won't work. At some point you have to let nature do

the rest. My daughter did get that extra mm post mm. You are very

hypersensitive to this. You are a member of the plagio police and

can probably spot a flat spot a mile away.

6 mm is usually the insurance approval point (some are stingy and use

10+mm). That is why I used 6 in my thought process. Of course at

the time our insurance had denied and we were paying out of pocket.

Please let me know what you decide because ultimately it is your

decision :) Good luck.
